Rachel Kim is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at the University of North Texas,
following the completion of her Bachelor of Music degree at Yonsei University. She previously
studied at Seoul Arts High School .She has distinguished herself in numerous
national competitions, including First Prize at the Seoul National University Wind Instrument
Competition, the Music Education Newspaper Competition, and several major national
competitions. She was also awarded Second Prize at the CBS National Youth Music Competition and
the Yonsei University Wind Instrument Competition.

In addition to her performance career, she has been actively engaged in music education since March 2022. She has provided private trombone instruction to students at various levels and has participated as a guest musician with the orchestras at Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School. Her experience includes helping students prepare for school auditions and developing their individual musicianship and performance skills.

Her performance career includes appearances in Korea and internationally, such as the
2025 World Peace Concert in London, the Seocho Philharmonic Orchestra concerts in
Berlin, and various orchestral and chamber performances.

She has also participated music festival in the 2023 Solasian Youth Orchestra.
An active ensemble musician, she has performed with groups such as the Yosnei
Trombone Ensemble, LCCW Brass Quintet, Seoul Arts Brass Quintet, demonstrating
versatility in both chamber and ensemble settings

Rachel Kim continues to develop her artistic voice through performance, teaching, and
musical exploration, with a passion for expressive playing and meaningful musical
communication.
