Cehuai Zhang, an esteemed saxophonist and educator, holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the University of North Texas, alongside degrees from the University of Northern Iowa and Shenyang Conservatory of Music. Zhang's pedagogical approach is renowned, having developed a comprehensive saxophone method book used across Texas schools. His teaching extends from the University of North Texas to the Dallas and Lewisville Independent School Districts, emphasizing fundamentals, technique, and musicality.

Zhang's performance career is marked by recitals at prestigious venues and his initiative in commissioning and premiering contemporary works that bridge Western and Chinese musical traditions. Notable performances include the world premiere of "Tunes of Xiangxi" by Lunkun Zhen at the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference.
